BYU jumps 11 spots!

After beating Oklahoma on Saturday night, the Cougars have jumped 11 spots in the AP poll to number 9 in the country. Top 10 in the country are you serious!? While I probably haven't given the Y enough credit for their great win, I really don't know if they are the 9th best team in the country. Who knows...they may deserve the rating and I am not saying that they don't, I am just saying that it a quick judegement based off of one game whose star Tight End and Heisman Trophy winner QB was out of the game.

They won and they deserve the higher ranking, but ninth? I guess only time will tell and if I get put in my place or not. I will hold my accolades until after I see how they play against Florida State and TCU. You have my word right now though if they beat Florida State then I will also jump on the BYU bandwagon to run the table and of course still lose to Utah, but run the table up until the last game. I am not committed to it yet, but could be in a couple of weeks. Florida State is the game for me....

What do you think do they deserve number 9?

  1. I would have to say that there was A LOT of hype about this game!

I also really didn't like how a lot of people were bragging about BYU taking out the Q.B. for Oklahoma. I mean I suppose all is fair, but come on.. is that really something to be boasting about - injuring a player? You tell me.

  2. I don't think they deserve it at all. That is way too high for just one game played and their main players not even playing. They will get pounded by other big teams and by TCU> The U never got this much hype they had to earn it all the way and still there were skeptics. BYU just gets it because the U paved the path for them. UGH I hate BYU they get credit for one game!

  3. I haven't heard the majority of people boasting about that hit, but there have been a couple of comments. It doesn't suprise me at all though....the NFL has guys that have "hits" placed on their heads and the players take bets as to who can take them out of the game. It wouldn't suprise me if college has a smaller degree of the same thing. I don't think they meant to injure Bradford, but the few comments do need to stop. Completely classless.

Thank you both for your comments.
